[personal] Monday mumblings.

I rode my bicycle to the market after a warming (and hopefully bronzing) jog in the sunshine and as I was on my way back home, I was stopped my an older man. Seeing me unlock my bike, he seemed intent on teaching me the meaning of love by asking me what it would mean if it people actually knew what it meant. Without pausing for my answer, (thankfully! I had nothin’.) he told me: love is trust. Trust meaning  honesty, that one day he will be honest with his God because he loves him, and one day I won’t need a lock for my bike. With a few more poems, philosophies and quoted scripture, he walked home with his bread.

I continued on my merry way thinking of my husband who I love so much. Our honesty and trust is so deep that I hardly ever even think about it. But today I did. And it was much more warming than the sun on my skin. I love that man! And I thank the gentleman I ran in to today for yet another reminder of why.

And, for good measure, here’s a peek. A sneaky one, if you will. Haha okay not really. Congratulations Ceri and Ben! Can’t wait to share more of your fun and Alaskan engagement session! =]

How refreshing to see a story such as this! I just barely got married, and my husband and I are working to build a trust level that is similar to this. In a world full of divorce and unfaithfulness, it is so remarkable to come across a situation such as this to relate with as a young married couple just embarking on our journey together. Bravo to you! :)
