I love this couple. I love their story. I love this wedding. I love my job.
Meet Laura and Bryce…
He says:
I fell in love with Laura from the very beginning, though I didn’t know it until much later. I was head over heels from the very start. When Laura and I met, I had a hard time talking to her I was so nervous. She is so beautiful. We went on a few dates and had a good time, but it didn’t take. Laura was much more interested in being my friend. I was devastated. I tried so hard to not let my feelings get the better of me, but I had a hard time moving on. I went on other dates but always broke things off before they got very far. I tried to convince myself it wasn’t because of Laura. We stayed friends, spent hours talking with each other, and spent time together. Every time we got c
lose it felt like my heart was breaking all over.
One night I came home feeling particularly heart-broken. I stayed up for three hours into the early morning and wrote a song. I had never written a song, and I can only barely play the guitar, but it just sort of flowed out of me. I was trying to console myself with the fact that she didn’t love me back, and that someday I would meet someone who would. I didn’t tell Laura it was about her and she never guessed. We remained good friends and eventually it blossomed into something more. Laura thought we should try and date, I was uncertain. I didn’t think my heart could take it. But she was sure, and she was right. We fell in love and I told her about the song. We had both found someone who loved us back.
This wedding day started at the Salt Lake Temple and ended with a gorgeous outdoor reception at the Eldredge Manor. I loved every minute of it, and could hardly narrow down which photos to post… so definitely check out the slideshow at the end! Congratulations Laura and Bryce!
Caught this candid just as we were walking over to the shaded steps for family photos… They’d been married for like five seconds and they’re already SO in sync and perfect and cute. PS, can you spot theĀ videographer? :)The day was bright and sunny…but there was plenty of wind, too!Bouquet: to die for, yes!? The flowers were all done by the lovely Stacie at La Belle Fleur.Classy. Elegant. Love…. Right before heading into the luncheon at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.Recording the tender song that Bryce performed for his beautiful bride…The look on his face, and the look on hers: happiness. (My face was smeared with mascara and tears.)On to the reception at the classy Eldredge Manor!Mmm, Paradise Bakery cookies. See how much my bride and groom loves me!? (Okay, they were actually for the guests…)Lavender and lace. Love. The entire beautiful wedding party! The first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Mosley! Then night ended with family and friends lighting paper lanterns as Laura and Bryce departed as husband and wife…The perfect end to a perfect day!
The song Bryce wrote for Laura, and sang for her on their wedding day…
I saw her standing there across the room,
It was love at first sight.
I don’t know what I was thinking,
I was wrong, but hoping I was right. We stood and talked for a little while,
I said what was on my mind.
She smiled back and played it real cool,
She’s one of a kind.I thought that it was all okay,
But there was no way…Cause you’ve got to fall for someone who falls right back,
Love comes in wholes, it doesn’t come in halves.
It’s not enough to say it’s all okay,
Love has got to take your breath away. She broke my heart and didn’t even know,
She didn’t understand.
How can I show her what I feel,
And who I really am?She doesn’t know,
She doesn’t care.
We’re going nowhere…Cause you’ve got to fall for someone who falls right back,
Love comes in wholes, it doesn’t come in halves.
It’s not enough to say it’s all okay,
Love has got to meet you more than just partway. Now there’s a girl out there and she’s falling fast,
She wants to say more than hello.
But he doesn’t feel the way she feels,
So she’s trying not to show,She’s feeling down,
But that okay,
Because someday…We’ll meet and I’ll fall for her and she’ll fall right back.
Her love will be whole, cause I’m the other half.
She’ll be more than enough,
We’ll be more than okay.
She’ll take my breath away,
And I’ll meet her more than just partway.Cause you’ve got to fall for someone who falls right back,
Love comes in wholes, it doesn’t come in halves.
It’s not enough to say it’s all okay,
Love has got to take your breath away.
Love will never lead your heart astray.
Love will always meet you more than just partway.
