laurel: a long time friend | provo portrait photography

I can’t believe I am just now posting this! I’ve had it all ready to go and scheduled for a few weeks. Oops! Better late than never, right?

Anyway. I’ve known Laurel for…… 8 years? I met her one year at a summer camp that we both went to with our church. I clicked with her zany personality instantly and since then we’ve spent countless hours laughing our insides out. I’m pretty sure our families and friends can attest to the fact that we used to do the weirdest coolest stuff together. Among a lot of other normal and classy things, we’d have stake outs, play with war paint, talk in strange accents, talk about John Wayne, write in our journals, bake cookies etc. Laurel’s the kind of friend who has seen me at my best, worst, weirdest… you name it! (And she’s STILL my friend. That tells you volumes about her good character, haha!) I’m really grateful for her in my life and have learned so much from this quirky, adorable, talented, smart, pretty, hardworking girl! She always forgives my weirdness, makes me laugh and kicks my butt when we go running together. I may or may not have  a polarizing personality at times and let’s be honest, I’m sort of a weirdo– so it’s nice to have a good friend like her!!! She and I have both grown immensely since our wacky teenage years (yes, I’m aware we were teenagers rather recently. Haha. A lot can happen in a few years!) and I’m so thankful for the influence she’s had on my life. (Hope you know that, girl!) She’s doing wonderful things with her life. YAY! Love this girl!

We got together a couple of weeks ago right before she went brunette and got some amazing portraits! Hello, Miss Photogenic! [Tell her that and she'll deny it. But the proof is in the pudding! Er in this case, the pictures.] She had to put up with years of me always wanting to take pictures, so I was so glad when she said I could take some of her “for real” this time! Haha. Enjoy!

I think wish flowers/dead dandelions are so CUTE!
And one final picture…. for old times sake.
